Reebok Unleashes the Zig 3D Storm Hydro

Reebok has begun the rollout of their newest and possibly most advanced silhouette to date, the Zig 3D Storm Hydro.

Designed primarily by Evan Belforti, the Reebok Special Projects designer behind the ultra-futuristic Premier Road Modern, the shoe exemplifies why Reebok has risen to the top of innovative sneakers in recent years. Packed full of cutting-edge technology and unparalleled design cues (such as portable camping shelters, water shoes, and soccer cleats), the shoe looks rugged, fast, and completely unique all at once. The Zig 3D Storm Hydro uses an innovative ShelterShield shroud that embraces the top of the wearer’s foot and locks to the shoe’s heel. The shroud also covers the model’s speed lacing system, which also hooks onto the silhouette’s toebox. The entire rig sits atop a Zig 2.0 midsole for durable cushioning and a rugged outsole for all conditions grip.

The initial triple black colorway of the Zig 3D Storm Hydro is available now alongside two other models—a white, blue, and yellow edition and a black, grey, red, and blue edition—for approximately $180 via retailers like Sneakersnstuff. A duo of extremely eye-catching Cottweiler colorways are also on the way, created in collaboration with the fashion design house led by Matthew Dainty and Ben Cottrell with a prolific history of game-changing Reebok partnerships.
