Back in August, Rick Owens and Converse introduced the TURBOWPN, a reimagination of the classic ’80s Converse Weapon through the DRKSHDW lens. The TURBOWPN is now dropping in two new colorways: “Clay” and “Egret.”
The TURBOWPN uses the Weapon’s basketball roots as the base design, though elevated through Owens’ modernist, avante-garde, and contemporary luxury aesthetic. Proportions have been distorted and exaggerated, with the sole unit being nearly double the size and the tongue elongated. Additional features include a CX foam drop-in for comfort, a subtle reinforced toe box, and wide laces. The “Clay” and “Egret” colorways feature a monochromatic design and are crafted with premium cowhide leather.
The release is accompanied by two Rick Owens DRKSHDW x Converse accessories, a six-panel nylon baseball cap in clay and a drawstring bag in black with pearl cotton strings.
