Original Story (04/20/22): adidas introduced the NMD S1 last year, pushing the boundaries for the classic NMD and giving it a fresh new look. We’ve yet to see any collaborations on the model release, unless you count the boot-like NMD S1 RYAT version from Pharrell’s Humanrace. The first proper collab on the silhouette has now been revealed, as an NMD S1 created in partnership with luggage manufacture RIMOWA has surfaced.
The Three Stripes’ collaboration with the fellow German brand includes an NMD S1 equipped with a beige Primeknit upper with bright orange accents. The RIMOWA logo can be found on the heel pull tabs, with additional Rimowa branding seen on a small tag on the tongue and protrusion on the midsole. Co-branding and large “MADE IN GERMANY” text is found on the insoles. Rounding out the design is a translucent tan BOOST midsole with a unique trefoil groove pattern on the outsole.
