Original Story (06/03/22): Salehe Bembury continues to collect sneaker collaborations like Infinity Stones. The footwear designer known for the New Balance 574 YURT, Crocs Pollex Clog, ANTA SB-01 and SB-02, and more, has now unveiled a project with Los Angeles-based footwear brand Brandblack.
Brandblack was founded by footwear industry veteran David Raysse in 2012 and is probably best known for the J Crossover, the signature basketball shoe of ex-NBA star Jamal Crawford. Bembury now helps introduces Brandblack to a new generation of sneakerheads with a new silhouette. The sneaker incorporates Bembury’s playful use of shapes, patterns, and colors, with both colorways previewed dressed in a funky mix of orange, green, and yellow hues. Underfoot, the shoe features Brandblack’s proprietary high-traction Wraptech Vibram rubber sole unit.
