Saucony Shadow 6000 “Kintsugi” Is Inspired by Japanese Ceramic Art

0

Saucony has released a new colorway of the Shadow 6000 inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken ceramics with precious metals.

In kintsugi, the cracks in ceramic pottery are filled with liquid gold, leaving a visible gold seam where the cracks initially were. The Shadow 6000 “Kintsugi” draws on this ancient tradition with visual imperfections stitched together with metallic gold embroidery. Uppers come in a ceramic-inspired grey nubuck with premium suede overlays, while “Kintsugi” in Japanese characters is debossed on the leather tongue tags. Additional features include speckled midsoles, hairy suede tongues, and exposed foam on the lip of the tongue.

The Saucony Shadow 6000 “Kintsugi” is available now on Saucony.com and at select retailers. Check out the official images below.
