size? x adidas Campus 80s “Fight Club” Release Date

Original Story (01/21/21): size? and adidas are teaming up with director David Fincher to release a commemorative Fight Club Campus 80 two decades after the release of the film. It may be against the rules to talk about it, but here’s what we know so far.

Most of the upper comes in black with various blue, grey and red panels throughout, with each shoe representing one of the split personalities of Fight Club‘s main character, Tyler Durden. One of the more striking texture decisions is seen through the beige fur taking over the left inner Three Stripes. Plenty of motifs from the film appear on the shoe, including a Tyler Durden nametag, “Project Mayhem” graphic, “Fight Club” branding on the outsole and more name branding on the insole. The shoe comes packaged in a special pink soap-themed box.

Widely criticized, Fight Club’s popularity peaked with its DVD release, while Fincher went on to direct other intense films, such as The Game and Seven. Scoring a collaboration with adidas, a brand that appears a few times in Fight Club, solidifies its film legacy 20 years later.

  1. A book/film that is centred around a lost generation of males soothing their inadequacies through the ownership of ‘things’ is now celebrated by the release of an overpriced branded shoe from a huge corporation. The irony cannot be lost on people and surely has to be a deliberate ploy. “Just let go”
