Original Story (03/15/22): James Whitner’s Social Status has a collaboration with Nike on the way that centers around the Air Max Penny 1. First revealed in a beige colorway, it was just revealed that the Social Status x Nike Air Max Penny 1 will also be dropping in black.
On this pair, the upper comes dressed primarily in black nubuck, though there is a white shell section on the lateral forefoot. This one comes with blue accents throughout, such as under the Velcro Swoosh, the icy translucent outsole, and the Air Max bubble. Like the other colorway, this release comes with a variety of sports-inspired Swooshes, matching laces, and comes packaged in a special box covered in graphics inspired by cursive handwriting practice worksheets.
