Original Story (01/27/22): Penny Hardaway and Nike’s Air Penny line is poised to have a big 2022. Along with the return of some OG Air Penny 1s and an Air Penny 2 Stüssy collab, we will also see the release of an Air Max Penny 1 in collaboration with Social Status of James Whitner’s The Whitaker Group.
This Air Penny 1 comes dressed in a white and beige color scheme with black on the the sockliner and pull tabs. The most interest feature is the interchangeable Velcro Swoosh. The shoe comes with five different Swooshes, each representing a different sport. The white Swoosh with red stitching is a nod to baseball, while the pebbled leather Swoosh mimics the look and feel of a basketball. The other three are likely football, tennis, and golf. Extra laces will be included to match the different colors of the Swooshes.
