Social Status has two collaborative colorways of the Nike Air Max Penny 1 on the way, but that’s not all. James Whitner and company will also be dropping a collaboration on the Nike Air Max Penny 2.
Like the Penny 1s, the Social Status x Nike Air Penny 2 comes in two colorways. One features an upper dressed primarily in black, the other in Bone/University Blue. Both come with special action figure-style packaging. This is a nod to Lil Penny, the doll that starred in the commercials for the Air Penny line in the ’90s alongside Penny Hardaway, voiced by Chris Rock. Another nod to Lil Penny is the special hangtags: miniature metallic Air Penny 2s.
