Leaked screenshots from the upcoming Sony Pictures film Morbius have surfaced, giving Marvel fans a first look at Jared Leto as The Living Vampire.
One of the leaked images shows Leto in full vampire mode looking over his shoulder, a shot that directly mirrors a scene from the Spider-Man comic books. Another image from the upcoming film shows Leto walking in an alleyway with a poster of Spider-Man with the word “MURDERER” tagged on it, connecting the plot of this film with that of MCU’s Far From Home. However, the image used in the poster is from Marvel’s Spider-Man, the 2018 Playstation 4 video game, and shows Spidey in the “Raimi suit,” the suit worn by Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man.
The full trailer is expected to arrive very soon. Take a look at the leaked images below and catch Morbius in theaters starting July 31st, 2020.
Update: Here’s the trailer! Michael Keaton makes an appearance at the end, possibly reprising his role as Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming, providing more questions than answers as to whether this film is part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If all this leads to a Spider-Man vs. Sinister Six film, count us in.
