Stone Island carries a long and rich history, being at the pinnacle of innovation for the past four decades. Following the release of the “82/22” collection in celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Italian fashion label now presents another innovative drop.

This collection features Stony Island iridescent nylon metal fabric, only this time made with Econyl regenerated nylon generated from ocean and landfill waste. To create this fabric, nylon material at the end of its life cycle is put through a complex depolymerization process creating a nylon fabric comparable to nylon made from raw fossil materials. The fabric is resin treated inside for light water and wind resistance. The finished piece then undergoes an elaborate double dye process, producing varying levels of intensity in color, with the addition of special anti-drop agent.

Leading the collection is the NYLON METAL-TC IN ECONYL packable hooded blouson in quarter zip and full zip. Features include elasticated tape cuffs, bottom hem drawstrings, and contrast piping. The outerwear is specifically designed to be able to neatly fold into a compact state providing ease of travel and storage. Stone Island also takes NYLON METAL-TC IN ECONYL fabric and applies it to the other pieces in the collection including an overshirt, Bermuda shorts, pants, and swimming trunks.

The Stone Island SPRING SUMMER ‘022 NYLON METAL-TC IN ECONYL collection is available now at select Stone Island retailers, Stone Island storefronts, and the Stone Island website.
