Founded in Miami in 2010 by Julian Consuegra, Stray Rats has gained a cult following due to their unique graphics and an aesthetic influenced by punk and nostalgia. After collaborating with the likes of New Balance and Marc Jacobs, the streetwear brand is now linking up with Carhartt WIP.
The nine-piece collection includes reworked iterations of the OG Active Jacket, Western Jacket, and Smith Pant. Each come constructed from either canvas or denim and have been treated to give an ‘aged’ effect. These pieces are offered in duck blue and tobacco brown and bear a hand-drawn allover print.
Cotton jersey items are also included in the collection, such as graphic print sweatpants and long and short sleeve tees. Rounding out the collection is a beanie with embroidered co-branding and a six-panel snapback.
The Stray Rats x Carhartt WIP SS22 collection launches on Friday, January 28th on the Stray Rats webstore, the Carhartt WIP website, and at Carhartt WIP stores and select retailers. Check out the lookbook photos below.
