With rap at what can arguably be called the height of its cultural relevance, it’s interesting to keep in mind some of the jumping off points, and one of the major ones was the classic “YO! MTV Raps”, a show dedicated to a type of music that 25 years ago was not quite as main-stream accepted as it is now. These killer visuals give glimpses into the hip-hop past and work in the Stussy present, two things that actually work quite well together.
