Supreme x JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARÇONS MAN Fall 2021

Following last week’s Timberland collab, this week’s Supreme drop features a collaboration with JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARÇONS MAN.

Junya Watanabe is a Japanese fashion designer born in 1961, protégé of Comme des Garçons founder Rei Kawabuko. He debuted his eponymous CDG collection in 1992 and is widely regarded for his innovative approach to construction, shape, and materials. The Supreme collaboration pulls inspiration from the JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARÇONS MAN archives. Highlighting the designer’s range, the collection features pieces such as a Schott leather peacoat, GORE-TEX denim parka and pant, brushed camo sweater, and patchwork puffy jacket, cargo pant, and backpack.

A large message is printed across the GORE-TEX denim pieces and the work jacket and pant, reading “When Acquired It Is More Important Than Life Itself, It Is The Immortal State Of Love, The Supreme Virtue Of All Virtues.” The collection also features the 3D artwork of NYC-based BUGSEX, seen on the striped tops, zip-up hoodies, tees, beanies, and keychains.

The Supreme x JUNYA WATANABE COMME des GARÇONS MAN Fall 2021 collection will be available Thursday, November 4th at 10am CT on the Supreme website. Also available November 4th at Dover Street Market New York, Dover Street Market Los Angeles, Dover Street Market London, and Supreme stores worldwide. Available in Japan November 6th.
