Following Supreme’s Spring 2021 tee drop and teases of an upcoming Nike Air Max 96, the NY streetwear brand is now teaming up with SOUTH2 WEST8 for a wide-ranging apparel collection.
SOUTH2 WEST8 is the Japanese brand part of the NEPENTHES family that has a recorded love for fishing. That comes through in this collection as the utilitarian styling of SOUTH2 WEST8 meets the artful aesthetic of Supreme in a fishing inspired collection that hits a variety of garments.
Convertibility is a foundational theme with sets that are designed for the all-day elements of fishing and the different weather associated with that. Pieces like the River Trek Jacket with matching pants and the Jungle hat come to mind. Other items like the Bush Parka and vest, pants, mesh game bag, tulip hat, and balaclava as well as the SOUTH2 WEST8 signature fleece jacket and matching pants that are a flip on the SOUTH2 WEST8 logo brought into a barbed wire pattern. This motif can be also be found on the Circle Horn L/S tee that is available in multiple colors.
The most unique piece of the collaboration is a co-branded Tenkara Fishing Rod that has the Supreme logo emblazoned on the rod that utilizes traditional Japanese hair burrs.
The Supreme x South2 West8 Spring 2021 collaboration will see a global release, available via the Supreme website on April 22nd and on April 24th in Japan.
