Takashi Murakami has collaborated with the Chicago Cubs for an apparel collection that will debut at ComplexCon Chicago. Murakami himself will introduce the collaboration and present it to the public at Gallagher Way outside of Wrigley Field on Friday at noon. This will be the first time that Murakami has collaborated with a sports team.
The collection incorporates Murakami’s signature bear artwork with logos and text from various eras of the Cubs’ history. It includes Mitchell & Ness and New Era products such as basketball mesh shorts ($150); a baseball mesh jersey ($175); a white short-sleeve T-shirt ($65); a blue hoodie ($165); and two snapbacks ($55).
ComplexCon Chicago attendees can also pre-order a crewneck sweatshirt ($165), a satin jacket ($250), and an extremely limited-edition letterman jacket ($1,500, only 17 produced). A limited run of the collection will also be available at Wrigley Field starting Monday at 9am. Check out the collection below.
