Tom Sachs x Nike NIKECRAFT General Purpose Shoe & Packaging

Original Story (01/03/22): The fifth shoe in the NikeCraft collaborative initiative between Tom Sachs and Nike is launching later this year, and a first look at the upcoming project has just been unveiled.

If your recall, the last Tom Sachs x Nike shoe, the Mars Yard 2.5, was issued to select members of the public through a Wear Tester program, where selected individuals were required to put in heavy use and log their experience with the shoe before the shoe was returned, sanitized, studied, repaired, and reissued to another wear tester.

This next project appears to be designed for the general public, as the inner tag labels it as a “General Purpose Shoe.” From the first look photos, we see an upper infused with DNA from the Nike Killshot constructed with light beige mesh. Details include white Swooshes on the side panels, blue pull tabs on the tongue and heel, and a gum cupsole with a black waffle outsole.

Grab a first look at the upcoming Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe below. Expect these to launch in 2022 on SNKRS and at select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
