Nike has enlisted musical artist Chaz Bundick, professionally known as Toro Y Moi, to design his own collection of footwear and apparel as part of Nike Running’s A.I.R (Artist In Residence) program.
On the footwear side, we have a React Infinity Run Flyknit dressed primarily in black with Rush Violet and Bright Cactus accents as well as a Pegasus 37 with the same color palette, though using Rush Violet as its main hue. Each feature graphics that are signature to Company Studio, Chaz’s multidisciplinary art studio. A distorted black and white checkerboard pattern, for example, appears on the midsole of the Pegasus 37, while the React Infinity Run Flyknit features a splatter graphic that Chaz uses for PLUM, his ambient side project. These graphics also appear on the apparel, which consists of Flex Stride shorts, Dri-Fit tees, an Aerobill Tailwind cap, a Windrunner jacket, and more.
