Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 Launches May 27th

Original Story (11/02/21): There’s been quite a few developments on the Travis Scott x Air Max 1 since they were teased back in March for Air Max Day 2021. Of the five colorways rumored to launch, we have a look at three so far: “Baroque Brown,” “Saturn Gold,” and the recently revealed “Wheat.”

Inspired by the Nike ACG Pocket Knife, the Cactus Jack x Nike Air Max 1 features a drawstring Gillie lacing system and custom nubuck and mesh-patterned overlays on the upper. Both “Baroque Brown” and “Saturn Gold” colorways have been loaded onto SNKRS with a release date of December 16th. There will also be an early release coinciding with Astroweek, an itinerary of events leading up to Astroworld Festival 2021 on November 5-6. Both colorways are expected to be part of the Cactus Jack x Nike drop at Space Village in Houston on November 2-3.

We also have a first look at the the “Wheat” colorway. This one is very similar to the “Baroque Brown,” with the biggest difference being the color of the toe overlay. Instead of a dark brown mudguard, it comes in a light brown wheat hue, matching the rest of the overlays.

Update (11/15/21): Due to the tragic deaths that occurred at Astroworld Festival, the global launch of the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 has been put on hold. It is unclear how long the postponement will last, though we can expect a launch sometime in 2022. The official statement on the SNKRS app reads as follows:

“Out of respect for everyone impacted by the tragic events at the Astroworld Festival, we are postponing the launch of the Air Max 1 x Cactus Jack.”

Update (05/20/22): Following a 5-month long postponement, the Travis Scott x Nike Air Max 1 “Baroque Brown” and “Saturn Gold” are now dropping on May 27th on SNKRS and at select retailers alongside the Air Trainer 1 “Light Chocolate” and “Grey Haze.”
