Original Story (02/07/22): NYC-based artist Tyrrell Winston is best known for his mixed media artwork, specifically his assemblages of old, deflated basketballs on walls in a grid-like pattern. Winston has now teamed with Reebok on a collection that includes his own take on the Club C and Question Mid.
In a recent IG post, the artist explains that Club Cs “have been my go-to/studio shoes for years,” making this collaboration “a full-circle moment” for him. The Tyrrell Winston Club C comes dressed in its classic white leather, with the main alterations being faux fur paneling on the heels and Winston’s interpretation of the New York Yankees logo placed on the left tongue tag and insoles. The shoe also comes with translucent outsoles with Winston’s signature found underfoot.
The Question Mid takes on a white and black color scheme and also features Winston’s NY Yankees logo, this time on the bottom right heel and the insoles. Additional features include black faux fur panels on the heels and an icy blue translucent outsole, once again revealing Winston’s signature.
