In addition to the Union x Air Jordan Footwear collection, the duo will be releasing a full collection of apparel.
Union has unveiled the next chapter (titled “Sophomore”) of their collaboration with Jordan Brand, with the goal to deviate from the first collection and experiment with something new while continuing to evolve.
Union’s take on the streetwear silhouettes features a fabric they sourced called “spacer knit.” The “two-faced” fabric includes a double knit warp spacer Poly/Elastane technical knit outer face with a brushed interior. The collection of apparel has a full range of pieces including t-shirts, mechanic shirts, hoodies, coaches jackets, pants, and shorts. Co-branding appears throughout the collection through the use of embroidery and custom patches. Tees and hoodies feature black-and-white imagery from Michael Jordan’s Reverse Dunk from the 1985 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, while the back of another tee includes a colorized overhead shot of MJ signing autographs for his fans.
