UNIQLO UT is known for its affordable graphic tees featuring popular IPs such as Pokémon, Animal Crossing, and Demon Slayer. The latest UT collection is in collaboration with video game franchise Final Fantasy, honoring the 35-year history of the series and the release of the upcoming Final Fantasy XVI.
The collection is comprised of 16 graphic tee designs, each representing one of the main Final Fantasy games released from 1987 to now. The assortment of tees creates a nostalgic timeline of how much the franchise has progressed—the first few tees incorporating the pixelation era of video games while the later releases show off detailed graphics as rendering capabilities improved over the years. Some notable pieces include the FFXII tee, with a collage gallery-style design capturing moments of the game in black and white, and the FFXIV tee that nods to the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. The FFXVI tee caps off the collection and features Clive Rosfield, the main protagonist for the upcoming video game. To celebrate the release, UNIQLO has created special playing cards inspired by the collaboration given out as gifts to fans while supplies last.
