Vans, the original action sports brand, and London design house, Liberty Art Fabrics, team up once again for the third installment of the Vans x Liberty Art Fabrics capsule. Releasing this July, the Vans x Liberty Art Fabrics showcases three elaborate material prints across a selection of Vans Classics footwear. The collaborative offering expresses the deep heritage of both entities, as Vans’ iconic Era, Old Skool and Sk8-Hi Reissue silhouettes are crafted with Felix and Isabelle, Lodden and Pepper textiles from Liberty’s extensive archive of fabrics. One of Vans’ most celebrated styles, the Era, kicks off the assortment with uppers outfitted in the Felix and Isabelle fabric print. Soft tones and paisley embellishments can be seen in every panel of the popular low-top, lace-up. Simple details such as white laces, eyelets and foxing complement the Era’s cohesive color scheme. Originally designed by William Morris in 1884, Liberty’s Lodden pattern covers the Old Skool from ankle counter to toe cap. Floral vine imagery and a contrasting palette of deep blue and off-white create one of the most intricate Old Skools to date. Vans’ coveted mark, the Sidestripe, can be seen on the medial and lateral sides of each pair. The Vans x Liberty Art Fabrics capsule comes to a close with the Sk8-Hi Reissue. Draped in the Pepper print, Vans’ classic high-top exhibits a colorful micro floral pattern that has captivated many since 1974. Like its low-top brethren, the Sk8-Hi Reissue dons the Sidestripe, tying the new color-up to the Vans’ design roots. Since 1875, Liberty Art Fabrics has remained dedicated to pushing the envelope of printed material design from London to fashion hubs across the world. That dedication combined with its rich history connected Vans with this legendary company for another installment of iconic footwear. Both heritage brands are proud to present the Vans x Liberty Art Fabrics collaboration for delivery this fall season. The Vans x Liberty Art Fabrics collection retails for $60-$75 and arrives this July globally at Vans retail locations, at vans.com and the one and only Liberty of London on Regent Street.
