Vans to Celebrate Class of 2020 with Digital Commencement

While many of this year’s high school and college grads didn’t get to have the celebrations and commencement speeches they’d hoped, Vans is joining the ever-growing list of organizations stepping up to provide a digital commencement or graduation celebration for the Class of 2020.

This week, Vans will be hosting an online celebration ceremony tooled for recent graduates. The event will include appearances from Steve Van Doren (son of Vans founder Paul Van Doren), skateboarding legends Tony Hawk and Ray Barbee, fashion designer Sami Miró, and more. Additionally, the ceremony will be followed by performances from King Princess and DJ SG Lewis.

According to the company:

“While circumstances have made students and families celebrate at home, Vans hopes to inspire the graduating Class of 2020 to continue to be changemakers now and into the future. Vans is dedicated to enabling self-expression and creativity among the youth by creating an inclusive community focused on supporting one another and recognizing the global connection between action sports, art, music and street culture.”

The Vans Class of 2020 Grad Night will take place at 8PM CDT this Friday, June 26th. Grads, families, and friends can tune in on the official Vans YouTube, website, Facebook and the Vans Family app. Vans has also added Class of 2020 customization options to their Customs program, available here.
