Vans has launched a new “So Much More” initiative in celebration of Latinx Heritage Month. The brand is partnering with four Latinx visual artists from across the country to create one-of-a-kind designs that embody authentic representations of Latinx identity and culture.
The team is comprised of Colombian-American nonbinary artist Marisa Fulper, visual artist and musician Camilo Medina, Chicago-based artist Tatee Garcia (aka Elloo), and Los Angeles-based painter Daniel Gibson. Aiming to disrupt preconceived, one-dimensional notions of Latinidad, each artist has created their own Vans poster showcasing sounds, tastes, and colors of the Latinx experience. Together they present an authentic, multi-faceted depiction of Latinidad, revealing that there’s “So Much More” than meets the eye. The posters are available now at Vans stores in Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, and New York City.
Additionally, Vans is airing special programming on its Channel 66 station featuring Latinx creatives Totem Magazine, Salt Cathedral, and Buscabulla. Learn more about the “So Much More” initiative and each of the artworks at vans.com/latinx.
