Vans x ‘One Piece’ Collection Revealed

After teaming up with franchises like Stranger Things and Sailor Moon earlier in the year, Vans is now dropping a collection in collaboration with the popular anime One Piece.

The One Piece anime aired its first episode on October 20th, 1999, making today its 23rd anniversary. The collection with Vans includes both footwear and apparel, starring Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates. Highlighting the collection is the Sk8-Hi Punk Hazard, which features a 360-degree graphic that wraps from the lateral side of the shoe, representing the fire side of the island, to the medial side representing the frozen side.

The Vans Classic Authentic in this collection pays tribute to the Straw Hat Cap, featuring a natural jute fabric upper covered with One Piece symbols. There are also two footwear styles inspired by demon fruits, an Old Skool and UltraCush Slides.

The spirit of One Piece is also featured in the offering of Vans Skate Classics, with the iconic Wanted posters of “Cat Burglar” Nami on the Skate Sk8-Hi in orange and the “Demon Child” Nico Robin in purple on the Skate Old Skool.

The collection is rounded out by a collaboration with Japanese comedian-turned-artist Nikuguso Tarou (aka Cookie), who created a cursed humanoid version of Chopper, appearing on an Authentic 44 DX and a matching tee and hoodie.

The Vans x One Piece collection is slated to drop on November 11th at Vans stores and on Vans.com. Preview the collection below.
