Vault by Vans x Krink Celebrates DIY Art Culture

0

Vans’ recent collaborations with No-Comply and Museum of Peace and Quiet puts the spotlight on artists and creatives. The next Vault by Vans release continues this celebration of the artist, teaming up with Brooklyn-based artist Craig Costello and his art supply brand Krink to present a six-piece collection.

Craig Costello, also known as KR, grew up in ’80s graffiti culture, starting out as a graffiti artist that would tag the streets of New York and San Francisco. When he noticed paint suppliers did not cater to street artists, he decided to create his own line of paint. This collection draws inspiration from the needs of the artist along with the deep-seated DIY culture Krink helped build.

The collection features the Vans Authentic VLT LX in Krink’s signature silver color. The upper is constructed of thick-gauged ballistic nylon to elevate breathability and durability. The silhouette also features a gray monochromatic outsole and silver metal eyelets. Also in the collection is the Vans Old Skool VLT LX in two classic colorways, navy and black. The Old Skools feature a Krink New York City slap sticker layered under a unique 3M side stripe. Both footwear styles come with reflective details on the tongue tag and pull tab on the heel. Apparel rounds out the collection, including tees and a chore coat.

The Vault by Vans x Krink collection launches on March 25th at select Vault by Vans retailers. Check out the Vans Drop List page for a full list of retailers.
