Verdy and Levi’s are Releasing Wasted Youth 501 Jeans

The world’s first original denim jeans, the Levi’s 501, was patented on May 20, 1873. Levi’s celebrates the anniversary every year with “501 Day,” full of special releases, musical performances, and other surprises. This year, the festivities include the launch of the Wasted Youth x Levi’s 501 ’93 Straight, created in collaboration with Japanese streetwear designer Verdy.

The Wasted Youth x Levi’s 501 features design cues pulled from the recently released Wasted Youth x Nike SB Dunk Low. The jet black denim draws inspiration from punk culture, with red jig stitching on the waist and coin pockets. Wasted Youth branding in white appears above the left front pocket, while subtle black-on-black embroidery on the back right pocket reads “Don’t Bother Me Anymore.”

The Wasted Youth x Levi’s 501 drops exclusively on the Levi’s app on May 20th. Check out the campaign images below, which feature appearance from Brother Nature, Ontrell Fisher, Alexander Blaine, NATWEAVES, Raul Andres Diaz, and Samantha Smith.
