Virgil Abloh “Figures of Speech”

0

Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago opens to the public today. The exhibit is a mid-career retrospective of Virgil’s work ranging from his early work like Pyrex Vision and his architectural thesis and spanning to his current and unreleased projects. The exhibit gives viewers who may only know Virgil’s work in the fashion world a chance to experience his other work in design, architecture, and music. For those that only care about his fashion work, there is still plenty to see. For instance there is a display of many unreleased Off-White x Nike sneakers in various stages of development. Of particular interest, a yellow and white pair of Air Jordan 1 Retro Highs and an Air Jordan 4. We also get to see a Supreme x Virgil tee modeled by Chief Keef. It is unknown if any of the pieces in the exhibit are slated to release, but stay tuned for any updates here. Along with the exhibit there is a gift shop titled “Church and State” where patrons can purchase apparel and posters available exclusively at the museum.

Tickets to see Virgil Abloh’s “Figures of Speech” exhibition are available at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s website. The exhibit runs from June 10 – September 22.
