Official Look at the Louis Vuitton x NBA Collection

After a long wait and multiple teasers, Louis Vuitton has finally unveiled its menswear capsule for the NBA.

Coming fresh on the heels of the Lakers’ championship victory, the collection’s concept and flagship looks have officially been announced. The pieces make heavy use of the NBA logo, both as traditional branding and in reinterpreted, houndstooth-style pattern form. In a statement, creative director and streetwear legend Virgil Abloh described the collection’s concept:

“Fashion muses aren’t predictable. Ideas of luxury can be found in the sports world and its champions as much as in traditional forms of artistry. This collection celebrates the cultural contribution of basketball and its diverse characters, and the idea of relatability as a force of unity today.”

The release is inspired by the lifestyle and fashion needs of an NBA player, and it’s divided into three subsections: travel, game arrival, and press conference. The “travel” portion of the capsule includes casual, comfortable items like a dual-branded grey tracksuit, side bags and backpacks, and a pair of lace-up workboots. The “game arrival” division showcases leather jackets, monogrammed jeans, tees, and casual-yet-sleek pieces to impress in the locker room tunnel. Finally, “press conference” is home to the collection’s higher-profile, tailored pieces including suits, blazers, shirts, and more.

The collection is also releasing with multiple different footwear styles like multiple versions of a loafer, a derby, and a low-top slip-on sneaker. Jewelry encompassing NBA logo pendants, bracelets, and rings round out the collection with even more extravagance. You can check out a gallery featuring photos of the collection down below.

The Louis Vuitton x NBA menswear collection releases on November 20th, likely via Louis Vuitton retail locations and the brand’s website.
