JJ Watt & Reebok’s “Valor” JJ IV Honors American Hero Pat Tillman

0

Pat Tillman was considered an American hero when he lost his life in eastern Afghanistan two years after sacrificing his NFL career to join the U.S. Army in 2002. JJ Watt and Reebok have created a new colorway of the JJ IV training shoe to honor the late Tillman.

With the help of Tillman’s wife Marie, the Reebok JJ IV “Valor” commemorates his life with creative elements. The red and tan upper draws color inspiration from both his former team, the Arizona Cardinals, and his U.S. Army uniform. “PT40” on the eyestays hint at his jersey number while “Tillman” and “Leadership Through Action” are found on the hangtags. Floatride cushioning and Flexweave uppers round out the performance aspect while Watt’s fingerprint-like outsole provides traction. The insole displays the Pat Tillman Foundation’s logo.

Reebok also announced they are donating up to $10,000 to the Pat Tillman Foundation. Ten dollars for each sale of the silhouette will be donated between May 27th to August 31st. Watt will also donate all personal proceeds from the shoes to the cause.

The Reebok JJ IV “Valor” will launch May 27th on reebok.com/jjwatt and select retailers for a price of $100 USD.
