Original Story (10/22/21): Jordan Brand will be releasing a new “Varsity Red” women’s colorway of the Air Jordan 1 in the early months of 2022.
This Air Jordan 1 features a color blocking similar to the one in the “New Beginnings” pack released in 2020, though updated with new materials and hits of grey. The side panels and toe box come dressed in white leather, while the overlays come in red leather. The Swoosh is also red, though made from chenille material, similar to a patch on a letterman jacket. The ankle collar comes in Light Iron Ore grey, as does the corduroy tongue. Rounding out the design is a Sail midsole and red outsole.
