At the beginning of 2022, WTAPS and UNDERCOVER released their collaborative “ONE ON ONE” collection, marking the first collaboration in over two decades between the two OG Japanese streetwear brands. Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER and Tetsu Nishiyama’s WTAPS are now back with a second drop from this collection.
The name “ONE ON ONE” is likely a spin on the “ONE AND ONLY” seen in some of UNDERCOVER’s early pieces. This second drop from this collection features short and long sleeve tees in black, button up shirts in white and khaki, and bucket hats in black and khaki. Rounding out the collection is the re-release of the UNDERCOVER x WTAPS x Converse Chuck 70 Z Hi. The Z stands for zipper.
The accompanying campaign imagery features direction from stylist Akio Hasegawa, who used scissors and paper to employ a cut-and-paste collage aesthetic to the photos, in line with previous works he’s done with WTAPS.
The apparel from WTAPS x UNDERCOVER “ONE ON ONE” is set to release on Saturday, September 17th via WTAPS and UNDERCOVER in-store and online. The Converse sneakers will release on October 1st.
