OG Japanese streetwear brand WTAPS is back with its 15th collaboration with Vans, this time offering a massive assortment of footwear and apparel split across two collections.
Since 2005, WTAPS and Vans have been delivering easy-to-wear footwear styles, with the most recent project dropping earlier this year: a pair of military-inspired Sk8-Hi and Authentics in celebration of WTAPS’ 25th anniversary. The celebration continues with even more styles imbued with WTAPS’ signature military design ethos.
For the first drop, Tetsu Nishiyama’s label offers the OG Chukka LX, OG Era LX, OG Half Cab LX, and OG Old Skool LX. Each shoe is equipped with a simple coyote brown suede upper. The Chukkas and Eras feature the WTAPS Crossbones logo, a design cue previously seen in 2016’s Crossbones collection. Releasing alongside the four footwear styles are tees and crew socks, both offered in black and smokey olive colorways.
The second drop is a snowboard boot and All-Weather MTE offering for the upcoming winter season. The Hi-Country & Hell-Bound (HCHB) LX Snowboard Boot, Standard Snow MTE, and Coast CC NS LX are all decked out in a brown colorway. The HCHB boots are winter-ready as they feature V3 UltraCush with The North Face Flashdry liner, a V3 PopCush footbed, and a V3 Waffle Superenduro outsole. The snow footwear offering is paired with an MTE Jacket and Pant, as well as pullover hoodies and a beanie.
WTAPS x Vans Vault Collection 15 Part 1 drops this Saturday, November 5th, on the WTAPS website and at select Vans retailers, followed by a release on Vans.com on November 15th.
