The latest merger between fashion and music sees tennis footwear brand K-Swiss joining forces with West Coast rapper YG to present a co-designed collection.

While YG is also rolling out his own sneaker, the Nike Cortez-inspired 4hunnid Block Runner, he takes a break from that to creative direct an entire collection with K-Swiss, a staple in West Coast culture. The collection is comprised of LX sneakers, each infusing YG’s charisma into the classic silhouette. The first one, aptly named “Disco,” has an upper that takes on a crisp silver glitter dressing, interrupted by the signature 5 stripes in white along the side panels. More K-Swiss motifs come in the form of the three-piece toe and D-ring eyelets. Co-branding takes its place on the tongues, insoles, and shoebox.

With more releases on the way, fans of the collection will be able to receive a keepsake from the artist with each drop. YG’s advice? “You gotta have confidence to wear ’em how I wear ’em… You gotta have swag. You gotta have sauce.”

The YG x K-Swiss Classic LX “Disco” is available now exclusively on the Footlocker website.
