The Gel Lyte III is quickly becoming the Asics equivalent of New Balance’s 574, an all-around great shoe that, due to its unique construction, offers a lot of colorway capabilities lending itself perfectly to collabs and special additions. Though these latest kicks aren’t a collab or special edition, Asics truly outdid themselves. With varying shades of blue making appearances via the mesh, synthetics and patent leather sneaker, the only blues you’ll be hearing will be the haunting ones sung by those unfortunate souls who couldn’t cop a pair. Featuring the classic split tongue and gel cushioning one would expect from a Gel Lyte III, this sneaker truly goes above and beyond the usual standard addition. These popped up for sale via Kith today, but quickly sold out. Check back with Modern Notoriety soon for information on how to cop these at a later date. More photos after the jump.
