This week brings in two highly anticipated partnerships for UFC fighter Conor McGregor, each in and out of the ring. The former comes in a fight against Donald Cerrone going down this Saturday (breaking a 15-month hiatus), and the latter in the form of something more civil, but demanding-of-attention just the same: a Reebok collaboration to unveil a Zig Kinetica silhouette.
The Zig Kinetica first debuted in November through a collab with BBC ICECREAM. Designed with performance in mind, the shoe is stable and breathable, complete with an adjustable foot strap for a customized fit. The Zig Energy Bands outsole returns energy with each step and the Zig Energy Shell surrounds the foam midsole to channel and return energy in each stride.
There is one element that sets McGregor’s iteration apart from the others, and that’s a limited edition “Zigurine” action figure. There were only 100 units made and they’re sold separately from the sneaker. A commercial for the collaboration animates everything to expect – and more.
The Conor McGregor x Reebok Zig Kinetica is set to release on February 21st, retailing for $120 USD. Catch a first look at the shoe that “pulvarizes ordinary” below.
