NFL Style Guide – Week 12

0

We have gotten through week 12 of the season and are headed into the Thanksgiving break from work and school that we all desperately need. Thanksgiving is of course the greatest football holiday to ever exist and while we will enjoy college and pro football alike we will also have a chance to enjoy the Fall fits of the pros. Week 12 was highlighted by an assortment of outerwear that fits the temperature as well as some great sneaker sightings. Lets dive in.

Jarvis Landry

Landry had an explosive day on the field hauling in 2 TD’s on 10 receptions as the Browns went in on the Dolphins. Before his big day he arrived to FirstEnergy Stadium in a blacked out fit highlighted by a leather jacket and the recently released Travis Scott Jordan Air Force 1. Landry also is wearing a shirt from the German label Askyurself.

Jacoby Brissett

The striped tee was back for Brissett in week 12, this time coming along with a black sport coat and black slack. I love the sleekness that Brissett dresses with in general, nothing over convoluted or outdone. He kept his streak of fire sneakers going with this pair of volt green Off-White x Nike AF1’s. These are up there as the best AF1’s Virgil designed but the blue MCA version make it a close race.

Zach Pascal

I have been preaching the qualities of good leopard print in outerwear for weeks and this cardigan that Pascal is wearing weaves leopard in absolutely seamlessly. It mixes this leopard print with a zebra print and other geometric patterns throughout. The royal blue trim and cobalt blue splashes in the leopard print bring levels of dimension that would be missed if this were simply a 2 color piece. Pascal is still rocking with the Balenciaga Speed trainer in light grey with the white logotype patterned throughout.

Jamal Adams

We have a great Jamal Adams fit that includes the likes of Balenciaga pants, a Saman Amel jacket, and YSL shoes. But the biggest flex of all these luxury brands come in Adams right hand. That’s no regular old umbrella. That’s the granddaddy of them all, a Rolls Royce umbrella straight from the door of the whip. It’s one of those things that you might not consider until you’re up close and can see it for yourself but the astronomical flex that is walking into the facility with a Rolls Royce umbrella cannot be under appreciated.

Jamison Crowder

This is potentially the most classical representation of an NFL player wearing something anyone could. You can literally buy everything in this and look clean for minimal coin. Crowder was showing support for Atlanta United FC and threw on some 1’s that he stacked his denim over. Stop sleeping and grab a soccer jersey and beanie to go with your denim and AJ1’s.

Christian McCaffrey

The suit king of the NFL donned blue tartan suit adorned with a light blue pocket square. I’m a big fan of the color and fit as I usually am when it comes to CMC suits. He also threw on the white sneakers to dress it down a step which I’m not complaining about, I’m actually a big fan of wearing a low cut sneaker and letting the ankle peak a bit.

DeShone Kizer

The Jordan 11 Bred will get it’s first retro since 2012 on December 14th, you can read more about the retro here. Kizer got his hands on a pair and made good use them this week, adding them to his Rhude tee and LV check bag. I haven’t seen many guys rocking their joggers that high in a while and I frankly thought that trend had died a horrible death. Raise your cuffs at your own risk.

Marquel Lee

A lesson in dressing in layers should be required reading for everyone. Wear your hoodie a little short, wear your shirt a little long. You bring in color and texture that is invaluable and elevates your fit. The other thing elevating Lee’s fit here are the Sacai x Nike LD Waffle. These are in my sneaker top 5 for 2019 and I don’t think that’s even up for debate.

Ezekiel Ansah

I know absolutely nothing about who made this or what I would need to do to learn more but I love this beyond comprehension. It is slick, it is unique, and it is one of the best colors available in fabric. I’m sure there is a lot of technical description I could get into but I just don’t enough to dig deeper at the moment. If anyone wants to educate please do because Ansah has peaked my curiosity with this one.

Josh Gordon

The Seahawks have put together one of the most formidable receiving corps in the league that includes Metcalf, Lockett, and now the addition of Gordon. I love Gordon’s game and his style and I could not be more excited that he’s with my Seahawks now. This fit looks mad futuristic; from the sunglasses, to the jacket, and the translucent LV, this is absolute fire. I’m confident Gordon can access other dimensions and this fit proves it conclusively.
