Puma had massive success when they reissued the Puma Trinomic XT2 last year and early 2014 sees Puma pull the XS850 out of the archive.  Saturday 15th March 2014 will see the return of the Puma XS850 OG.  Like the XT2 OG, demand will be pretty high and product will be pretty limited.  Check out the video and let us know what you think.

‘The 1990s was a historic time for PUMA as it was a peak time for product innovation in performance sports, particularly running when the shoes weren’t afraid to show off their goods. PUMA added to the visual-technology boom with Trinomic. This technology featured clear rubber hexagon cells. Together, they looked like a honeycomb and their benefits were beyond sweet: the cells collapsed and expanded to provide cushioning, flexibility, and stability. This Trinomic technology popped up in numerous performance silhouettes, creating the Trinomic family.

In looking ahead as a brand we look back to our sport heritage for inspiration. To moments on the track and elsewhere that earned us a name synonymous with style, innovation and authenticity. During the 90s the Trinomic technology, and XS850 in particular, became iconic in the performance arena. In 1992 there was a unique addition to the Trinomic running family, the XS850. It was as a trail running shoe, designed for the dealing with softer more uneven surfaces with maximum stability.

90’s fashion is defined by neon brights and abstract prints, an era when hiphop style is fondly remembered and when sportswear became daywear. With the reemergence of similar trends, the XS850 OG is reissued with 90s nostalgia in mind. Hexagon for hexagon, in its original colours with the neon pink pop, original tooling and that famous heel splatter which only ever featured on this shoe. Again, the XS850 is set to become an icon on the street.’
