Nike Air Ship x Air Jordan 1 “New Beginnings” Pack

Original Story (12/03/19): Wow. The Nike Air Ship, the sneaker that Michael Jordan wore in the NBA before the creation of the Air Jordan 1, is being released to the public for the first time in over 30 years. The Air Ship is mostly known for creating the legacy of the Air Jordan 1 “Banned” when the NBA banned MJ from wearing a Black/Red colorway of the sneaker.

That’s not all though. The Air Ship comes in a two-pack, packaged with a 1985 Air Jordan 1 High. We previously reported that a “Varsity Red” AJ1 High ’85 would be releasing in 2020 along with the AJ1 Chicago New Beginnings, and this might be it. Although the AJ1 features a brand new color blocking, both the Air Ship and AJ1 are faithful reproductions of their 1984 and 1985 silhouettes, with the AJ1 featuring a slightly higher cut and an OG-style hangtag.

The 1984 Nike Air Ship x 1985 Air Jordan 1 Pack is expected to release in 2020 in celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1. Check out the photos below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for more info.
