adidas is Bringing Back Its Kobe Models in 2022

While Nike’s partnership with Kobe Bryant may be over, it looks like we are still getting Kobe signature models in the near future. Reports indicate that adidas will be bringing back Kobe Bryant’s Kobe 1 and EQT Elevation in 2022.

Before being signed to the Swoosh, Kobe Bryant was team Three Stripes. One of the models he wore in his NBA rookie season was the EQT Elevation, now called the Crazy 97 EQT. To commemorate NBA All-Star returning to Cleveland in 2022, the Crazy 97 EQT will release in its original purple and gold colorway. This is the same shoe Bryant wore when he won the 1997 NBA Dunk Contest, the last time NBA All-Star was held in Cleveland. The shoe will also release in a new blue and orange colorway, the color scheme of All-Star Weekend ’97.

The Kobe 1, Bryant’s signature shoe from the ’00-’01 season, will also be returning. Now called the Crazy 1, the shoe will release in its original yellow “Sunshine” colorway in April to coincide with the McDonald’s All-American Game. The original white and black “Stormtrooper” colorway is also slated for a re-release.
