Though we’re all more than familiar with the classic Shell-toes from adidas, their Half-Shell counterparts may not be as recognizable to most, due in part to the fact that since their 1974 debut very few times have they seen a public release. Designed for, and worn by, NBA players in the ’74-’78 era, these were semi-popular for their added flexibility, but frankly never quite took off like their full-toed brethren. Lucky for classic sneaker fans and collectors alike though, these beauties will be making a full-sized, general release in July, available in these three vaguely collegiate colorways. Stay tuned via our Facebook, Twitter and Istagram for the latest on these and other upcoming releases. More photos after the jump.
