Original Story (06/24/19): The adidas Yeezy basketball was first revealed as a prototype by Kanye West early last year and has been seen multiple times since then worn by Kim Kardashian. However, details about the shoe are still scarce and we haven’t seen very good close ups of the shoe until now. The shoe looks similar to a 350 V2 with the full boost midsole and the shape of the front of the shoe, but looks more like a classic basketball high-top as you get toward the back of the shoe. The shoe also has some reflective accents that we’ve been seeing more of in recent Yeezy releases.

There is no release details for the Yeezy Basketball “Quantum” as of yet, but the recent pictures show a shoe that looks closer to completion. We will be sure to post more details as we get them, so stay tuned to Modern Notoriety.

Update (02/14/20): adidas has officially confirmed the release of the YZY QNTM. The shoe makes its debut this Sunday exclusively in Chicago at select retailers. Stay tuned for wider release info.

Update (02/13/20): Grab a look at the YZY BSKTBL and YZY QNTM below, courtesy of YEEZY MAFIA. While appearing nearly identical, the performance “BSKTBL” model features a plastic cage over the primeknit upper, while the lifestyle “QNTM” model does not. The BSKTBL model also lacks reflective 3M detailing. Expect a release sometime this weekend.

Update (02/07/20): According to Yeezy Mafia, Kanye West’s basketball silhouette will be making its debut release during the 2020 NBA All-Star Weekend. There will be two versions releasing: an on-court YZY BSKTBL QUANTUM version and a YZY QNTM QUANTUM lifestyle version. Retail price is $250. Stay tuned for an official announcement from adidas.
