In 2020, Aimé Leon Dore re-introduced the New Balance 550, a low-top basketball model originally released in 1989. In similar fashion, ALD will now be re-introducing its high-top counterpart, the New Balance 650.
The 650, also originally released in 1989, has been redesigned and remastered by ALD, giving it the moniker the 650R. The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650R will officially debut in Spring 2022 in three colorways: grey, pine green, and navy. However, you’ll be able to secure your pair this week. ALD has announced a pre-order for this release, similar to how they did a pre-order for their New Balance 1300 collab.
Limited advance reservations for the Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 650R will open on Friday, July 30th at 11am ET. Orders will ship in Spring 2022 ahead of the release. Subscribe to the ALD mailing list for more info.
