Original Story (02/23/22): Jordan Brand loves to give its customers variations of the classic black and red Air Jordan 1. The latest to be revealed is a new grade school iteration of the Air Jordan 1 Mid created to teach the youngins about the history of “Bred.”
This new Air Jordan 1 Mid gets the OG “Bred” color blocking right, unlike the 2020 AJ1 Mid “Bred” release, though there is another twist this time. Jordan Brand has now covered the panels in the words “BLACK” and “RED” on their corresponding panels. Also, in case the kiddos aren’t sure where the term “BRED” comes from, the equation printed on the midsole that reads “BLACK + RED = BRED” should clear things up for them.
