Original Story (06/22/22): Last week, the Quai 54 World Streetball Championship shared a preview of its new Jordan apparel and footwear collection for 2022. Included in the preview was the reveal of a Quai 54 Air Jordan 7 and Luka 1, though there was also a slight glimpse of an Air Jordan 1. We now have a better look at the upcoming pair.
It turns out that the “Quai 54” AJ1 is actually an Air Jordan 1 Utility, a version of the classic silhouette equipped with stash pockets that debuted earlier this year. The shoe incorporates dark indigo fabrics in its construction, influenced by traditional West African patterns and oilcloth dyeing techniques. This is paired with white canvas overlays and bright red accents on the tongue tag, midsole stitching, and outsole. Special co-branded tags that read “Summer Paris 2022” can be found on the tongues and insoles.
