Jordan Brand has a “Dunk on Mars” collection slated to drop in 2023 inspired by the concept of “What If Mars Blackmon Dunked on Mars?” This is in reference to Spike Lee’s character Mars Blackmon from She’s Gotta Have It who was also featured in Jordan commercials from the late ’80s and early ’90s.
One of these releases is the Women’s Air Jordan 5 “Dunk On Mars” (aka the “Mars For Her”). Similar in appearance to the “Raging Bull” colorway, this pair features a bright red suede upper, a reflective silver tongue, and “23” branding on the lateral heels. Rounding out the design is a black midsole with ombre orange “shark teeth,” all atop an aged translucent outsole.
