Original Story (08/30/21): Alpha Industries first established itself as a clothing manufacturing company by creating products from the US Department of Defense. It has since grown into a worldwide brand offering military-inspired apparel, most famously the MA-1 bomber jacket. The company is now teaming up with New Balance on the footwear brand’s classic 574 silhouette.

First look images of the Alpha Industries x New Balance 574 reveal an all-grey shoe that incorporates durable, water-resistant CORDURA fabric in its construction. Minimal branding is seen on the shoe, with a small Alpha Industries logo embossed onto the lateral heel. However, there is also a large New Balance and “Remove Before Flight” hangtag attached to the top eyelet, similar to the tags found on Alpha Industries clothing.

The Alpha Industries x New Balance 574 is expected to launch in September via the Alpha Industries website and select retailers. Grab a look at the sample below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
