Back in 2019, ASICS released its “Academic Scholar” pack, which featured collegiate-inspired variations of the GEL-KAYANO 26, GEL-NIMBUS 21, and GEL-KAYANO 5 OG. The Japanese label is now continuing the collection with two more iconic silhouettes, the GEL-LYTE III and the GT-II.
This time around, the two models are dressed in a varsity-inspired Hunter Green and Matte Purple color scheme with yellow accents to round out the ivy league aesthetic. The GEL-LYTE III, dubbed Semester 1,” and the GT-II, dubbed “Semester II,” are both constructed from premium leather and pigskin suede with micro perforations throughout the upper.
The ASICS GEL-LYTE III “Academic Scholar” is set to release on April 1st, while the GT-II is slated to drop in June. Look for these to drop on ASICS.com and at select retailers.
