Original Story (08/21/20): Last month, we saw atmos and adidas team up to debut a brand new model, the ZX Alkyne, with the “Crazy Animal” colorway. While the model has yet to receive a mainline release, we now have a look at another collaboration with atmos on the ZX Alkyne.
Also being referred to as the 1180 Boost, this ZX Alkyne comes equipped with a black mesh upper paired with iridescent overlays that gives the shoe a whole new look when light is shined on it. Reflective material is used on the Three Stripes side panel branding and laces for added shine. Purple takes over the tongue, the atmos-branded dubrae, and the branding on the heel-end of the midsole.

Update (09/15/20): atmos has announced the release of its iridescent adidas ZX Alkyne, which is dubbed “Neo Tokyo.” To celebrate the release, atmos has tapped Japanese illustrator tarou2 for a special anime-style tee. The Alkyne drops on September 18th exclusively via atmos Japan, while the tees are made to order, available from September 15th to the 22nd. No word yet if the Alkyne will see a US release.
